The Cake Box designs unique and one of a kind wedding cakes. Each wedding cake is created with the individual bridal couple combined with the wedding theme, colours and the couple’s personality.

The base price for wedding cakes is $5.00 per serving.

Additional design details are extra and the price varies depending on the amount and type of design details.

We recommend scheduling a consultation to discuss ideas, sizing, flavours, design ideas. Consultations generally take 15-45 minutes.

How much are your cakes, cupcakes etc.?

The base price for wedding cakes is $5.00 per serving.

Additional design details are extra and the price varies depending on the amount and type of design details. For example, a standard 3 tier wedding cake serves 80 pieces and is a base price of $400.00 including HST. Click here for more wedding cake information.

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes. Delivery and setup is extra and is $50.00 in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge area.

The fee for outside Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge varies depending on the distance.

Do you rent stands?

We do! We have 100’s of stands for your wedding cake and sweet table to choose from. Stand rentals start at $20.00.

A damage deposit is required which is fully refundable upon return of the stands.

Do you offer tastings? How much do they cost?

We do! Tastings are offered following a consultation and are offered 1 to 2 times per month. There is no cost for tastings.

When are your consultations?

Consultations are available at different times, depending on the time of year. To see when they’re available around your schedule, please see the information below.

November to April: Monday to Wednesday 9am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.
May to October: Monday to Wednesday 10am to 5pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 12pm.

If you are unable to attend a consultation within these hours please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate a consultation to your schedule.

How far in advance should I book?

The amount of time you should book with us in advance of your wedding depends on the time of year.

For weddings between May and October, 6-9 months is preferable to ensure the date is available.
For weddings between November and April, 3-6 months is adequate.

Due to cancellations we may be able so satisfy last minute requests or within weeks of a wedding date. Please contact us for availability.

Do you require a deposit to reserve the date?

Yes, we do. When a client books a consultation the wedding date is reserved until the consultation. Once the couple received their designs and quotes the date is reserved for another 2 weeks to allow them to review the designs and make a decision. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date.

Do you offer mini cakes? Dessert tables? Macarons?

Yes, yes, and yes! And they’re delicious.

Mini cakes are a trendy and fashionable alternative. We do offer mini cakes which can also serve as a gift favour.

Do you offer nut free, gluten free or vegan cakes?

Yes we do! Nut free, gluten free and vegan alternatives are available.
